Who is a terrorist, ask tiny tots……………

“……..Managalam Poddar & Rohan Avasthi, Class lll boys, of St. James School, walked up to their teacher on Thursday & asked “Miss, who’s a terrorist?” when the teacher explained that a terrorist is one who “harms others,” Their next question was: “Then, will the boys who hit & push each other, or those who are punished by teachers, become terrorist?”…………………”
I am really sorry that I cannot resist myself, from taking or rather copying this extract from the Times of India newspaper……….. It really hurts that kids who would play, enjoy, & study in their early age of their life is really facing & hearing the naked truth of terrorism that is taking place all over the world……….. It’s a great shame for the people who practice these dreadful incidents………….. But huh……… When will these people grow up? These people for the sake of money (and their so called “freedom & demands”) won’t really understand the true meaning of life……….
And thanks to the media that the cruel world of terrorism is being the headlines of their news at the prime time……… Yes indeed important for us to know the facts & happenings of our nation but is it that it is more important than the crisis situation of our present day economy????
Teachers & parents found that a large number of students talking of the Mumbai, Delhi terrorist attack & trying to connect with the tragedy in their own innocent ways. Surprisingly it is noted that children have become really sensitive, expressive & alert to such incidents. More over it is the media which telecasts the picture of dead bodies & the blood & the people who are agonizing, who have just lost his hand &………………..
Today the world of beasts & demons has given way to the real-life horror of blasts & terrorism. We are really not at all prepared to discuss these issues with the kids of such tender age. But we all discuss how bullying, attacking or hurting others was wrong. And how who became terrorist were once as innocent as any other child but were imbibed with a wrong set of ideas at some point of time.
“………..At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. A moment comes, which comes but rarely in history, when we step out from the old to the new, when an age ends, and when the soul of a nation, long suppressed, finds utterance. It is fitting that at this solemn moment we take the pledge of dedication to the service of India and her people and to the still larger cause of humanity……………” was the words said by Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru at the eve of our freedom from the British. But, Is this that freedom which we really wanted? This is a real shame on their part who insists on such ill-practices. Isn’t it that they too have daughters, sons, and mother……….. a family? Yes, the basic difference between them & us is that they give their own lives for the earnings which help them to keep their family alive & we work hard to earn the living…….
“…………The service of India means the service of the millions who suffer. It means the ending of poverty and ignorance and disease and inequality of opportunity. The ambition of the greatest man of our generation has been to wipe every tear from every eye…………” “Wiping out tears from every eye….” ha ha ha huh…… They are really wiping out not only tears but wiping out their lives………..
This directly or indirectly creates a negative impression in the minds of the children or rather the kids... It is that may be one of them may lose their own mother or sister or wife in the incident………. Just think about those people or the children who has just lost their parents or their relatives…

Think……….. Just think……………. what will happen about this little child……….. What is going to happen in his life? Who’s going to take care & look after this little infant? It is only God who knows it……
At this age, he has seen or felt the cruelty of this unkind world, where the children of tomorrow gets to know nothing but a world of terror, anger & revenge….. And not the glory nights where they can dwell peacefully & enjoy and live a life free from all sorts of hazards, tension, & free from all sort of unnecessary calamities.

Have you ever thought that the world is closing in & we could be even as close as brothers?
The future's in the air which we can feel it everywhere & it is blowing with the wind of change Take me to the magic of the moment on a glory night where the children of tomorrow share their dreams. Take me to the magic of the moment on a glory night where the children of tomorrow dream away in the wind of change.
Thus we can end on a note of the sweet melodious lyrics of the song sung by Michael Jackson “HEAL THE WORLD…. MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE…… FOR YOU AND FOR ME AND THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE”…………….
There's A Place, In Your HeartAnd I Know That It Is LoveAnd This Place CouldBe MuchBrighter Than TomorrowAnd If You Really TryYou'll Find There's No Need To CryIn This Place You'll FeelThere's No Hurt Or SorrowThere Are WaysTo Get ThereIf You Care EnoughFor The LivingMake A Little SpaceMake A Better Place...Heal The WorldMake It A Better PlaceFor You And For MeAnd The Entire Human RaceThere Are People DyingIf You Care EnoughFor The LivingMake A Better PlaceFor You And For MeIf You Want To Know WhyThere's A Love ThatCannot LieLove Is StrongIt Only Cares ForJoyful GivingIf We TryWe Shall SeeIn This BlissWe Cannot FeelFear Or DreadWe Stop Existing AndStart LivingThen It Feels That AlwaysLove's Enough ForUs GrowingSo Make A Better WorldMake A Better World...Heal The WorldMake It A Better PlaceFor You And For MeAnd The Entire Human RaceThere Are People DyingIf You Care EnoughFor The LivingMake A Better PlaceFor You And For MeAnd The Dream We WereConceived InWill Reveal A Joyful FaceAnd The World WeOnce Believed InWill Shine Again In GraceThen Why Do We KeepStrangling LifeWound This EarthCrucify Its SoulThough It's Plain To SeeThis World Is HeavenlyBe God's GlowWe Could Fly So HighLet Our Spirits Never DieIn My HeartI Feel You Are AllMy BrothersCreate A World WithNo FearTogether We'll CryHappy TearsSee The Nations TurnTheir SwordsInto PlowsharesWe Could Really Get ThereIf You Cared EnoughFor The LivingMake A Little SpaceTo Make A Better Place...Heal The WorldMake It A Better PlaceFor You And For MeAnd The Entire Human RaceThere Are People DyingIf You Care EnoughFor The LivingMake A Better PlaceFor You And For MeHeal The World…………..

One thing you should understand Joy,you cant compare the importance of economic meltdown with world terrorism. Children are being affected in these disturbance we have no doubt in that but its not because of the media. Media's responsibility is to present the naked reality...& reality always hurts dear! Whatever we have seen in the last two days in every print or electronic media wasnt either unethical or unnecessary. We should understand that its not media but the terrorism which is responsible for such situation. And its meaningless to compare sensex with life!

Hiiiiiii....Joy.... 1st of all I would say that U r having a good stock of words n it's really well said.... But I would like to support Ankita.. n would like to share a lil experience of mine.... that day before yesterday I have received a call in a live programme....a person called up n said.."Major S.K.Roy..who's leading the troop in Noriman House, m his father....I didn't get any information regarding my son since morning, after he got inside Noriman House at 1100 hrs n media only can help me out by providing some information about my son..." then the call got transferred to the Chief of our Bureau.. n he spoke to that old-tensed father n made him believe that his son is safe n we all will surely pray for him.... so it can be conclude from my above said experience that civillians have faith in media.. n media is fulfilling it's duty.... n from my point of view, which media is doing wrong.. that they shouldn't show.... 'family member's crying of those great soldiers who have sacrificed their lives..' for increasing TRP.... as sometimes those scenes really make people emotional....

Hi Joy,
Well written, and I will tell you to write more.
But you should appreciate one facts that terrorism is happening in India continuously. Its not happen in USA after 9/11, not in Israel for sometime. Then why India, Indian Government will put the blame on Pakistan and do nothing. USA has proved that if you take an eye we will take your head ( by attacking Afganisthan and Iraq) so does Israel. And in India NSG Commandos reached Mumbai Hours late.....
Don't put the whole blame on those f*****g Terrorist its our own Government who is to blame. Think about it.....

Joy..
..if u ask me whos a terroist....i'd say its our vry own SELFISH...EGOISTIC ...FOOTAGE GREEDY n IRRESPONSIBLE POLITICIANS who gave chances rather i'd say invited d terrorists wid open arms 2 take over us n make our life hell.Jus asking for resignations frm sum mere high profile politicians wont do....its up2 us now..2 put a FULLSTOP 2 dis nightmare dat we get evry two-three months sumtyms in ahmedabad....sumtyms in delhi...guwahati..n now mumbai...n u nva knw...wen we'll see our own OBEROI/GRAND or TAJ BENGAL...or...ITC...in2 flames n blood stains n bullet marks on d walls wid innocent deadbodies laying here n there N BLOOD BATH @ Sealdah or Howrah Stations. At dat time also...we'll hv 2 count of our defence department..n i mean OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS..not any defence minister 2 save us...coz our polticians wont do anything but can nly visit d places like a picnic spot n dis tym we might see our own CM Buddhadev Bhattacharya walking in2 d hotels along wid sum tollywood actors n directors....huhh....how sicckkkkk!!!!!!!

I wanna ask each n evry politician..."WHERE IS THE "Z" CATEGORY SECURITY OF OUR CITIZENS N THE SOLDIERS WHO LAY THEIR LIFE 4 US????..WHERE IS IITTTT??????..IS IT NLY MEANT 4D COWARD POLITICIANS WHO JUSS MAKE BIG BIG PROMISES FRM THEIR A.C.OFFICES N D NEXT DAY THEY 4GET IT??????"...What d F***

Till 2day we suffered numbers of terrorist attacks....but did we ever hear dat dis XYZ POLITICIAN suffered injuries or he is no more etc etc...no..neva....u knw y?..coz OUR OWN POLITICIANS ARE "THE MOST DANGEROUS" TERRORISTS..who live among us... its high time we shud stand n fight against dis ENEMIES OF OUR SOCIETY.

I hereby draw an end 2 my comments n i salute all theose brave heros who lost their lives ...so dat we can live....MAY GOD BLESS THEIR BRAVE SOUL.

hi,joy. Now i hope you don't have any complaints. It's a well written one. But i have something to say on one point written by you. How can you put the economic meltdown rather global economic meltdown over this mumbai terrorist attack. To me it's a bigger crisis because if the security of our country is at stake theN that will detract foreign investors from investing in INDIA and what will happen to our economy. I think i don't need to say any further, that's pretty well understood. Anyways, keep blogging

the writings were good and the reflect a lot of your thoughts...
but someone said "IF ITS NOT YOU,THEN WHO...........IF NOT NOW,THEN WHEN".......so its time we get down to do something thanm only talk or write about it...its time you and me utilise your thought and convert that into an energy which has potential...enough said...vent your thoughts into action...Godspeed

Superb one man...Felt deeply engrossed from the very start.I'm glad that u thought abt what are we giving to our little ones.Maybe nothing more than confusing thoughts and a unsecure upbringing in a world of terror. Surely, the kind of world we live in is abound by uncertainities and miseries galore all around. But terrorism is something that's the worst thing that can happen to any country for that matter. What really leaves me outraged is the fact that the insane scoundrels(all who actively and passively share a hand in terror attacks)fail to comprehend that what are they leaving behind for the coming generations. It's high time we introspect and act judiciously.

As for ur initiative,it kept me on my toes althrough. As for dots...I feel they make a very powerful writting aid...if used wisely...so to gauge more of reader's attention.I simply adore dem...dots.
I was so moved by the TOI story u quoted. So I guess u get the msg. quote as much to substantiate ur point.
Just a single thing I expect out of u is to keep the gud work rolling and more of blogging whenever u get time. And never say I'm gonna put my pens down...Promise dear???

Joy. I read your blog. I have mixed reactions. I liked your blog. Its quite alright but you have to write more and you have to expand more.
A blog according to me is mostly your opinion. So at times when you were quoting other people I knew who and what you were quoting and I scrolled down. Which is not a good thing. What I am trying to say is that use quotations but not paragraphs. Increase your font a little. That will help the reader concentrate more. Also the quotation marks kinf of lost me. When I read it first time I didnt quite get which one was your comment and which was one was someone else's . Your writing is good. But you have to let it flow continuosly. I believe and this is completely personal opinion, the best blogs are those that are written in one go.. pen up - completion - pen down .. try it.

otherwise its good. oh and by the way.. you too should comment on mine. and one more thing.. since you had mentioned in ur scrap...dont stop blogging.. you will get better as you write...
